UPCOMING FUNDRAISER

On Monday, December 22, IMHA is hosting their Coaches Faceoff + Ava's Army Teddy Bear Toss Christmas Fundraiser!

Held at Bill Herron Arena in Indus.
Doors open at 5 pm. Puck drops at 6 pm.
Kitchen is open for dinner.
$10 cash admission at the door for ages 6+.
Kids 5 and under are free.
Santa & Mrs. Claus will be in the house giving out candy!
A door prize ticket is given with each paid admission.

Every dollar goes toward day-to-day association costs like ice time, equipment replacement, player development, and more.

How does Ava's Army Teddy Bear Toss work?

All of your stuffed animals (new, with tags) will be donated to the Alberta Children's Hospital in honour of Ava Hadfield, a sibling of one of our goalies.

Ava lost her courageous battle with brain cancer earlier this year.

When families arrive at the arena, volunteers bag each and every stuffy individually.
That way, when they're thrown onto the ice, they don't get dirty. When they're delivered to the hospital, their staff inspect all stuffies - anything dirty or without tags will not be donated.

Why do the stuffed animals have to be new?
All stuffies must be 'new with tags' because they may be donated to immunocompromised kiddos at the Alberta Children's Hospital. They don't need to be expensive - but they do need to be NEW.

In fact, the Children's Hospital prefers small to mid-size stuffies because the massive ones are cumbersome to store.

How do the stuffies get onto the ice?
As soon as the first goal is scored, the teddy bears will fly!
All kids are welcome to help throw all the bears onto the ice, from the bench-side of the arena.
Volunteers will show you wear to go!

BAKE SALE:

Bring your baked donations to the rink on Dec 22 at 5pm (when doors open).

Can't arrive then?

Pass off your goodies to an IMHA family to bring them for you.

No need to price your items.

We'll take care of that!

But please make sure to put your baking in a dish you don't want back.

(EX) A dollar store tin, paper plate, etc.

You get to decide how they're wrapped up.

Depending on your baked goods, you choose whether they should be packaged as singles, dozens, etc.
