Upon a successful application to either KIDSPORT or JUMPSTART the family will then qualify to have the dollar amount received from either charity matched by the IMHA HKPF Fund. If the monies received exceed the cost of registration, then the player’s personal Tournament Fund will be credited the amount of the excess funds up to a maximum of $100.00. Those funds can then be used to pay for any additional hockey related expenses incurred over the season (i.e. participation in tournaments, exhibition games or conditioning camps).
Regardless of the success of KIDSPORT or JUMPSTART applications, the IMHA may also discuss extending the payment terms for the family to March 1st of the current season to allow more time for a family to pay.
The executive board reserves the right to consider covering the entire family’s dues via the IMHA HKPF. These considerations will be presented and voted on by the board members.
The deadline for all applications is July 31st prior to the upcoming hockey season.
All requests will be handled with the upmost confidentiality and must be sent to the President only. The only other members that will know who has applied are the IMHA Registrar & Treasurer. Once the applications are received, they will be discussed at the first August executive meeting and the applicants will receive an email with an answer from the IMHA board. During all discussions at the board meetings no applicant names will be shared.
